Jabu’s Jungle hits USA – The Callsheet

Karen Juve, TAC’s VP of programming and acquisitions, commented: “Kids have few choices when it comes to multicultural shows. We aim to help fill that void with our Saturday morning programming block so that kids of color can wake up each weekend to a reflection of themselves on morning television.”

“This will allow parents in the US a bit of extra sleep on weekends, if the other continents are anything to go by” according to the producer at Pixcomm, Nic Buchanan. “We’re getting millions of views over weekends because kids wake up early, ready to learn”.

The expansion into North America opens up licensing and merchandising opportunities for the African American market.
